Welcome to the Province of South India. Daughters of Charity of apostolic life - with membership over 19,436 catholic sisters in 91 countries spread in five continents serving the poorest of the poor. We are women who have responded to the call of Christ to live our baptismal commitment by reaching out to the poor, in His name at the margins of our

society. We live together in community and serve the sick poor and needy through our services, pastoral and social activities living out after the example of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, our founders. We are 138 sisters serving in 25 houses in six states in the province of South India. Our Provincial House is situated in Bangalore.
